CB Reid is delighted to welcome Sam Holmes to the team. Sam has joined us as a Graduate Trainee and has already brought huge enthusiasm to the role.
Sam says, ‘As a new Trainee Chartered Accountant, this isn’t just my first time working in accountancy, it’s my first time working in an office. It’s a little different to how I expected (given the COVID-19 situation going on right now) but the team members I have met here have been incredibly welcoming. While I was nervous at first about being almost completely new to this field, their help has been invaluable, and the learning process so far has been both intuitive and rewarding.
I studied at Keele University from 2014 to 2018, when I graduated with a BSc in Mathematics. Though I feel I had a lot of options ahead of me, accountancy stood out as something that I would both enjoy and be very good at. I am passionate about computers, excellent with large sets of data, and very detail-specific when it comes to words and numbers. On top of this, CB Reid stood out as my first choice for firms to work at. Throughout the interview process, I could tell that the atmosphere in the office was friendly and relaxed, but with a highly professional and dedicated approach to their work.
I have only just started my journey with the ACA but I know that I will have the right guidance and support from everybody here.’
